Mel’s Merry Christmas Bliss Balls (Makes 20 balls)
These bliss balls are gluten free, dairy free, vegan and tastes like Christmas pudding. Nice and not naughty! A great treat to take along to your next Christmas party.
Ingredients
6 Medjool dates
100g Hazelnut meal
100g Shredded Coconut and some extra for coating the balls
14g Cacao powder
2 tbs Chia seeds
100ml Coconut Oil (melted)
Rind and juice of ½ Organic orange
½ tsp 100% Vanilla extract
6 drops of Hazelnut Stevia (I used the brand Wisdom Natural, sweet Leaf but plain stevia would also work)
1tsp Organic Cinnamon
Pinch of Ground clove
- De-seed and soak dates in warm water for 10 minutes
- Place all ingredients in a food processor to blend evenly for 30 seconds
- Roll into approximately 20 balls with hands and then roll into some shredded coconut to coat the balls
- Refrigerate for at least 10minutes before eating
